Thakur Bhupendra Singh Khangarot is the 16th Thakur of Sakhun since 22 September 2018, ruling from Sakhun Fort, Jaipur. Sakhun is the principal estate (Patvi Thikana) of the Bhakhar Sinhot lineage. Its branches include rulers of Akoda, Bichoon, Diggi, Dudu, Gaji, Jadawata, Chhir, Marwa, Seva, Pachewar, Sali, and Sawarda.
The founder of the Bhakhar Sinhot lineage was Maharav Bhakhar Singh Ji, the 8th and most powerful son of Maharav Khangar of Narena, who himself was the grandson of Raja Prithviraj of Amer (the 8th ruler of Amer, 1502–1527). Sakhun is an ancient village, and its fort is historic. Its rulers were among the most prominent सेनापति (military commanders) of the Jaipur State.
Raja Prithviraj (1502–1527)
The 8th ruler of Amer. He married Rani Bala Bai, daughter of Rao Lunkaran Rathore of Bikaner. He passed away on 4 November 1527.
Rao Jagmal Ji
The 5th child of Raja Prithviraj. He had nine marriages. One of his wives was Sodhi Rani, daughter of Sodha ruler Pahad Singh of Amarkot. He died in 1547.
Maharav Khangar Ji
Ascended the throne of Narena in 1549. Before that, he achieved several victories alongside his father. He fought a decisive battle against Alhanot at Bosaj. He had 19 marriages and died in 1584.
Narayan Das Ji
The eldest son. Emperor Akbar granted Narena as an independent estate (mansab and jagir) to the Khangarot lineage.
Maharav Bhakhar Singh Ji
Founder and first ruler of Sakhun. He was the 8th son of Maharav Khangar of Narena and Maharani Jodhini. He had 10 marriages and nine sons. His lineage expanded into sub-clans like Diggi, Pachewar, Seva, Akoda, Jadawata, Gaji, Hindaun, Sali, Bichoon, Sawarda, Dudu, and Bhojpur. He passed away in 1633.
Maharav Badridass Ji
Second ruler of Sakhun. Known as a brave and capable ruler who fought many battles. He served under Mirza Raja Jai Singh of Amer.
Maharav Manrupdas Ji
Eldest son of Badridass Ji. He succeeded his father and served as a mansabdar of Sakhun. He achieved victory in the Battle of Malpura.
Maharav Shyam Singh Ji
Fourth ruler of Sakhun. Known for his bravery and titles. He served Raja Ram Singh of Amer and participated in the Kabul campaign. He was a trusted associate of Sawai Raja Jai Singh and played a role in the Mughal succession conflict after Aurangzeb’s death in 1707.
Maharav Sukhan Singh Ji
Fifth ruler of Sakhun.
Maharav Gyan Singh Ji
Sixth ruler. Displayed exceptional bravery in the Battle of Bagru in 1748.
Maharav Ram Singh Ji
Seventh ruler and head of the Bhakhar Sinhot lineage.
Maharav Nahar Singh Ji
Eighth ruler of Sakhun.
Maharav Karan Singh Ji
Ninth ruler. Displayed great bravery in a battle against the Meos in 1725.

Twelfth ruler of Sakhun.
Thakur Ganga Singh Ji
Thirteenth ruler. He was adopted from Thikana Seva. He was the son of Thakur Prithvi Singh Ji of Seva and was placed on the throne of Sakhun.
Thakur Bhupendra Singh Ji
Fourteenth Thakur of Sakhun. He has one son, Kunwar Kushagra Singh, and a daughter, Hemakshi.
