8 Days Leh-Ladakh Road Trip Package

In the morning after breakfast, we will head towards the sightseeing spots located on the Leh-Manali highway:

• Hemis Monastery – The largest and richest Buddhist monastery in Ladakh.
• Thikse Monastery – This monastery is built on a hill and its structure looks like Potala Palace.
• Shey Palace – The royal residence of the old kings of Ladakh.
• Druk Padma Karpo School (Runcho School) – This school, which became famous from the movie “Three Idiots”, is an inspiration for students.

Return in the afternoon and rest at the hotel.

Overnight – Leh Hotel

After breakfast in the morning, we will set out on an exciting journey to the world’s highest motorable road Khardungla Pass (17,582 feet).

After crossing Khardungla, we will descend towards Nubra Valley, the greenest valley of Ladakh.

On reaching Hundar, check-in at the hotel or camp. In the evening you can:

• Ride a Bactrian camel on the sand dunes,
• Take an ATV ride or
• Enjoy a peaceful walk.

Overnight – Nubra Valley (Hundar)

After breakfast, leave for Turtuk, one of the last villages in Ladakh that joined India after the 1971 war.

This village is known for its Balti culture, Muslim population and traditional lifestyle.

Here you will see:

• Stone pottery
• Old royal palace
• Gompa built on the banks of Shyok river

After this, proceed to Thang View Point, from where you can also see a part of Pakistan across the LOC.

Return in the evening and relax.

Overnight – Nubra

After breakfast in the morning, we will leave for the world famous Pangong Lake.

Traveling through Agyam and Shyok, you will pass through beautiful valleys and small villages of the Himalayas.

Pangong Lake is located at an altitude of 14,270 ft above sea level and only one third of it is in India.

Evening walks along the lake, bird watching and taking photographs are the main attractions here.

Overnight – Camp or Hotel by the Pangong Lake

In the morning, you will witness the beautiful sunrise on the banks of Pangong Lake – a dreamlike experience.

After breakfast, return to Leh crossing the Changla Pass (17,590 ft). Enjoy hot tea and Ladakhi cuisine on the way.

Today is a day of adventure and patriotism:

• Hall of Fame – Museum decorated with the heroic saga of the Indian Army.
• Gurdwara Patthar Sahib – In memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
• Spituk Monastery and Kali Mata Temple
• Magnetic Hill – Where the vehicle climbs up without an engine.
• Sangam – The amazing meeting point of the Zanskar and Indus rivers.
