Upon arrival in Udaipur, the famous city of Lakes, Our Executive and Professional Driver will warmly greet you at the airport/train station. We will then transfer you to your hotel for check-in.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will begin the day’s program with a visit to the famous and iconic City Palace, the most visited site in all of Udaipur. It is located on the eastern shore of Lake Pichola.
This truly beautiful and imposing palace is also the largest palace complex in the entire state of Rajasthan. Its construction was begun by Maharaja Udai Singh II, founder of the city of Udaipur (circa 1568 AD).
In reality, it is a conglomeration of buildings (including other smaller palaces and luxurious mansions, added by successive rulers over the next 300 years), which still retains a striking uniformity in its design. The palace is crowned with ornate balconies, towers, and domes, and from the upper terraces, one can enjoy magnificent views of the lake and the city.
The main part of the palace is currently preserved as a museum, housing an impressive collection of mosaics, glass and mirror work, ornamental tiles, rare miniature paintings, fine sculptures, as well as an armory displaying an interesting collection of ancient weapons and battle gear of the brave Rajput warriors.
Another unique and fascinating attraction in this city is the Lake Palace Hotel, located on Jagniwas Island in Lake Pichola. This extraordinary building, of magical construction, seems to literally float in the middle of the lake. It was built by Maharaja Jagat Singh II in 1754 AD and formally served as the Summer Palace for the Royal Family of Udaipur. Later, it was converted into a luxury holiday residence and resort and is now considered one of the most spectacular hotels in the world.
In addition to the aforementioned main attraction, we will also discover two other interesting places:
Saheliyon-ki-Bari
Saheliyon-ki-Bari, or the “Garden of the Ladies-in-Waiting,” located to the north of the city. This picturesque little ornamental garden features fountains, kiosks, marble elephants, and a charming lotus pond.
Jagadish Temple, Old City
The Jagadish Temple, located just 150 meters north of the City Palace, is a magnificent example of the Indo-Aryan architectural style. It was built by Maharaja Jagat Singh in 1651 AD. It enshrines a black stone image of Vishnu, as “Jagannath,” the Lord of the Universe.
(Traditional folklore promotes the belief that the illustrious rulers of Mewar descend from what is considered the oldest ruling dynasty in the world, with over 76 generations.)
A beautiful sunset walk around Lake Pichola has been planned to soak up the charm and captivating atmosphere of this beautiful city.
After breakfast, drive to Chittorgarh. Built in Rajasthan by the local Maurya rulers (often confused with the Maurya imperial rulers) in the 7th century AD, Chittorgarh Fort is one of the largest forts in India. Standing majestically on a 590-foot-high hill and spread across 692 acres, Chittorgarh Fort, simply known as Chittor, is a fine example of Rajput architecture. The majestic structure has several gateways built by later Maurya rulers. Chittorgarh Fort was once the capital of Mewar and is now located in the city of Chittorgarh.
Chittorgarh Fort resonates with tales of heroism and sacrifice and showcases Rajput culture and values in a true sense. Thanks to its magnificent architecture, Chittorgarh Fort was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013.
A steep, one-kilometer-long road leads to the fort. It is considered a source of pride for the state, due to the historical sacrifices associated with it. Chittorgarh Fort is also known as the “Water Fort,” as it once housed 84 bodies of water, of which only 22 remain today. Its most prominent landmarks are the Vijay Stambh and Kirti Stambh towers. Vijay Stambh refers to the tower of victory, while Kirti Stambh means the tower of fame. These towers are illuminated in the evening, adding to their beauty. In addition to the towers, the fort houses several palaces and temples, most notably the Meera Temple.
After breakfast, we drive to Kota, a city on the Chambal River in Rajasthan, northern India. Inside the Kota Garh, or City Palace, the Maharao Madho Singh Museum displays miniature paintings and antique weapons. To the south, along the river, lies the tranquil Chambal Garden, which features a crocodile-filled pond. To the northeast, the 18th-century Jagmandir Palace stands in the heart of Kishore Sagar Lake. The Seven Wonders Park features miniature versions of the Eiffel Tower and the Taj Mahal.

This prime location is an ideal destination for relaxation and recreation, and is undoubtedly an unmissable destination.
Kota Dam, Overview of Kota
Kota Dam is the fourth construction project in the Chambal Valley Project, located on the Chambal River. It was built to store water from the project’s three previous dams—the Gandhi Sagar Dam, Jawahar Sagar Dam, and Rana Pratap Sagar Dam—and then channel it to the arid regions of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh for irrigation through canals. The dam currently supports approximately 20,000 acres of land for cultivation. With its 19 gates, the dam forms a bridge over the Chambal River in Kota, where people gather to enjoy the breathtaking view of the frothy, white water rushing in full force. During the monsoon season, when the dam’s gates are opened, it creates a magnificent sight with its turbulent waters rushing in. The roar of the water echoes throughout the region. Its roar can be heard from afar, and its pulse can be felt on the bridge. The bridge is crowded all year round with sightseers, hikers, and those stopping to take a look on their way to another location.
After breakfast, drive to Jaipur via Bundi. Bundi is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Located in the Hadoti district, it is famous for its rich history, culture, and architecture. Among the most prominent landmarks of Bundi are its palaces, forts, and stepwells. Besides its architecture, Bundi is also famous for its traditional handicrafts, including paintings, pottery, and textiles. Visit Shikar Burj, a prominent historical landmark located in Bundi. Shikar Burj’s design combines Rajasthani and Mughal styles, with finely carved stone walls and jharokhas.
Hathi Pol is a grand entrance gate leading into the Garh Palace complex, decorated with intricate carvings of elephants and other motifs. Constructed in the early 17th century by the ruler of Bundi, Rao Raja Anirudh Singh, the gate is a fine example of Rajput architecture.
The Chhatra Mahal is a palace located in the city of Bundi. It is part of the Bundi Palace complex and was built in the 17th century by Maharaja Rao Raja Chatrasal. The palace is named after the chhatris, or umbrella-shaped pavilions, that adorn its roof.
Then continue your journey to Jaipur and enjoy your evening.
After breakfast, we embark on an excursion to Amber Fort, located about 12 kilometers from Jaipur. This fort was the ancient capital of the Kachwaha Rajput rulers. This unique architectural masterpiece is a must-see on any trip to Rajasthan. Construction of the fort-palace began in 1592 by Maharaja Man Singh, a Rajput commander in Akbar’s army. It was later expanded by the Jai Singhs before they moved their capital to Jaipur.
The fort is a magnificent example of Rajput architecture, with its stunning location on a hillside overlooking a lake. You’ll truly appreciate the ascent to the palace on the back of a colorfully hooded elephant. We’ll visit the palace’s many rooms and corridors, renowned for their intricate designs and decorations.
In the afternoon, we embark on a tour of the city’s iconic buildings. First, we visit Jantar Mantar, a magnificent stone observatory built in 1728 by Raja Jai Singh, known for his passion for astronomy. The Jaipur Observatory is the largest and best-preserved of the five observatories he built, while the other four are located in Delhi, Varanasi, Ujjain, and Mathura.
We then visit the magnificent City Palace, the former royal residence, built in a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal styles. The palace houses fascinating museums displaying a remarkable collection of miniature paintings, traditional costumes, and armories.
Later, we pass by the intriguing Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), one of Jaipur’s most important landmarks. This five-story building, constructed in 1799, is a fine example of Rajput art. It was originally built to enable the royal ladies to observe daily life and the city processions.
