Diwali
This festival of lights celebrated in October-November illuminates the nights of Delhi with diyas. Every house is decorated, sweets are distributed, and the atmosphere becomes festive with the sound of firecrackers.
The best time to visit Delhi is from October to March (winter season). The weather is pleasant (15–25°C), making it ideal for sightseeing. Summers (April–June) are extremely hot (up to 45°C), while the monsoon (July–September) brings heavy rains and humidity. Avoid visiting in May–June if you don’t like extreme heat.
Must-visit spots include Red Fort, Qutub Minar, India Gate, Lotus Temple and Humayun’s Tomb.
Delhi is generally safe for tourists but stay alert in crowded areas and avoid isolated spots at night.
Delhi offers delicious street food like chaat, parathas, kebabs and butter chicken loved by visitors worldwide.
