Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple

This is the most sacred place in Mathura, where Lord Krishna was born. This temple is located in a cave-like sanctum, which has been preserved as a prison cell. The grand aarti and Janmashtami festival here attract millions of devotees from all over the country and abroad.

Dwarkadhish Temple

One of the most famous and beautiful temples of Mathura, this temple is dedicated to the Dwarkadhish form of Lord Krishna. This temple is famous for its grand architecture, intricate carvings and colorful tableaux. Hariyali Teej and Jhulan Utsav are specially celebrated here.

Vishram Ghat

Situated on the banks of the Yamuna river, this ghat is very important from a religious point of view. It is believed that Lord Krishna rested here after killing Kansa. The evening aarti here gives a divine experience and the boat ride is also very much liked by the tourists.

Gokul

Located about 15 kilometers from Mathura, this place is a witness to the leelas of Balkrishna. Nand Baba’s house, Chaurasi Khambha and Gopal Mandir are the places worth visiting here. The peaceful atmosphere and rural life of Gokul attracts tourists.

Barsana
