Ram Navami
On the birth anniversary of Shri Ram, the atmosphere of Ayodhya becomes like heaven. Special worship and procession is held at Kanak Bhawan, Ram Janmabhoomi and Saryu Ghat. Lakhs of devotees take bath and chant Ram’s name on this day.
Fair & Festival celebrate in Ayodhya
Deepotsav
This festival organized by the Uttar Pradesh government is celebrated before Diwali, in which the joy of Ram’s return to Ayodhya is celebrated by lighting lakhs of diyas at Saryu Ghat. This event is also recorded in the Guinness Book.
Shravan Month Worship
In the month of Shravan, crowds of Shiva devotees gather at Nageshwarnath temple, Shivalayas and ghats. Kanwar Yatra and Jalabhishek are special attractions.
Makar Sankranti and Khichdi Mela
This fair organized in January is a festival of devotees’ bathing, bhajan and charity. Devotees wish for salvation by taking a dip in Saryu.
