How to reach Mussoorie

Fly into Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun (60 km). Indigo, SpiceJet, Air India run multiple daily flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore. Pre-paid taxis (?1200-1800) or app cabs reach Mussoorie in 1.5-2 hours via the smooth new bypass.

The climb from Dehradun is pure drama,34 hairpin bends, forests closing in, sudden views of the Doon valley. Overnight Volvo buses from Delhi ISBT Kashmere Gate (?700-1500) drop you at Library Chowk. Self-drive via Meerut-Roorkee-Dehradun is fast and scenic.

Dehradun Railway Station (35 km) has excellent connections,Shatabdi, Jan Shatabdi, Nanda Devi Express from Delhi. From station, shared taxis (?150-250 per seat) or private cab reach Mussoorie in under 90 minutes. Mussoorie once had its own little train; the road now plays that tune.
