Palces to visit in Mussoorie

Camel's Back Road

A 3-km leisurely loop lined with deodars and the rocky outcrop that looks exactly like a camel’s hump. Early mornings are silent except for birds; sunset turns the sky pink over the Himalayas. Perfect for walks, horse rides, or just sitting on a bench watching life slow down.

Gun Hill Point

Second-highest peak, reached by a thrilling ropeway from Mall Road. 360-degree views, snow peaks on one side, twinkling town lights on the other. Street Maggi, shooting games, and the old cannon that never fired give it a timeless hill-station vibe.

Kempty Falls

15 km out, cascading 40 feet into a pool you can actually swim in. Yes, it’s crowded, but arrive before 9 a.m. or after 4 p.m. and you’ll have the waterfalls almost to yourself, pure mountain water, changing rooms, and Maggi stalls included.

Lal Tibba & Landour

The highest point in Mussoorie. Climb to the old British binoculars for jaw-dropping views of Badrinath, Kedarnath, and Gangotri ranges. Landour’s sleepy lanes, ivy-covered churches, and Ruskin Bond’s favourite Ivy Café feel like time travel to 1940s India.

Cloud’s End

An 8-km walk or drive through thick oak forests to a heritage bungalow turned hotel. The estate marks where the hill ends and the wilderness begins, perfect silence, mist rolling in, and the sense that you’ve reached the edge of the world.

Company Garden

A proper colonial-era garden with flower beds, artificial waterfall, boating lake, and wax museum for kids. Weekend evenings come alive with families, cotton candy, and paddle boats, pure nostalgia on a plate.
