The largest ghat where devotees take holy dips and the spectacular evening aarti begins at 6 pm. Hundreds of diyas float downriver while priests chant and fire spins,pure magic that gives goosebumps even to non-believers.
Beatles Ashram (Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram)
Abandoned since 1997, now beautifully overgrown. Graffiti-covered meditation domes, silent yoga halls, and the exact room where the Fab Four wrote half the White Album. Feels like time travel.
Neelkanth Mahadev Temple
14 km up a winding forest road, perched at 5,500 ft. Legend says Shiva drank poison here,his throat turned blue. Stunning views, peacocks everywhere, and icy mountain water to drink.
Parmarth Niketan Ashram
The heart of spiritual Rishikesh. Huge riverside campus, daily yoga classes, world-famous Ganga aarti, and the 14-storey Trayambakeshwar temple. Even day visitors are welcome for meals and satsang.
Shivpuri & Byasi (rafting stretch)
