Tashichho Dzong

Tashichho Dzong is an impressive monastery-fortress that is the administrative center for Bhutan and also functions as a religious authority. This building has beautiful gardens around it, stunning architecture, and is one of the major spiritual sites of Thimphu.

Buddha Dordenma

The large statue of Buddha Dordenma located in Thimphu Valley is the second largest Buddha statue in the world. It was constructed by His Majesty King Jigme Singye Wangchuck to inspire peaceful living among all people. Because of its location on a hill overlooking the Thimphu valley, the view from the statue of the valley below is breathtaking.
 

Motithang Takin Preserve
